Treatment Specialties:  As a Marriage and Therapist, Janyl is trained to see each client through the lens of all systems they are a part of, with the goal of supporting the client to produce long lasting, fulfilling change in their life. She has experience working with a variety of presenting issues, such as: anxiety, depression, self - esteem challenges, communication, conflict resolution, establishing boundaries, and developing coping strategies to manage all of life's stressors. Janyl works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families; truly enjoying the wide variety of clients she sees each day. Her goal is to make the therapeutic environment both supportive and safe, while promoting and challenging her clients to use, learn, and grow skills to have the most fulfilling and functional life possible. Janyl welcomes clients of all ages, demographics, and is LGBTQ+ friendly. 

Training and Experience: Janyl has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an At-Risk Child Youth Care minor from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Janyl then received her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in January 2019.

Techniques: Janyl strives to make sure all clients feel safe, heard, and validated for their unique lived experiences. She works with clients from a variety of therapeutic approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Structural therapy, Client-centered therapy or other theoretical models that meet the needs of each individual client, couple or family.
