Treatment Specialties: Brishel’s therapeutic approach hopes to empower, help and support clients to allow for optimal growth and development around difficult situations and experiences. She provides an empathetic and solution-focused space for clients to openly express any and all emotions, struggles and/or stressors. Brishel’s goal is to collaborate with clients to create a comfortable and clear plan to move forward in making positive change. She has experience in multiple areas, including but not limited to: eating disorders, anxiety, depression, boundaries and coping skills in reaction stress and/or life-altering events. Brishel is happy to work with clients of all ages, demographics, backgrounds and is LGBTQ+ friendly.
Training and Experience: Brishel completed her Master’s degree in Clinical and Behavioral Social Work from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa in 2021. She also attained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with minors in both Psychology and Human Services Concentration from Edgewood College in 2019. Techniques: Brishel practices a client-centered, strength-based, EMDR, and solution-focused approach. With the use of different narrative perspectives, thought processes and emotional evaluation, Brishel hopes to empower and remind clients of their own strength presenting situations.
