Treatment Specialties: Janyl works with clients from a variety of ages, demographics, and presenting issues. Marriage and Family Therapy training allows for Janyl to see each client through a systemic lens. She has a lot of experience working with children, adolescents and young adults. Janyl hopes to make the therapeutic environment both supportive and safe while promoting and challenging her clients to use, learn, and grow skills to have the most fulfilling and functional life possible.
Training and Experience: Janyl has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an At-Risk Child Youth Care minor from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Janyl continued on to receive her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in January 2019.
Techniques: Janyl strives to make sure all clients feel safe, heard, and validated for their lived experiences. She works with clients from a variety of approaches such as: Solution-Focused, Structural therapy, Client-centered therapy or other techniques and models that meet the needs of each individual client, couple or family.
