Treatment Specialties: Although Nick’s professional experience is primarily with adults, he enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. Nick spent four summers working with youth grades 2-12. Nick is experienced with working with individuals with a variety of mental health concerns through his work as a case manager.
Training and Experience: Nick received his Bachelors in Social Work and Spanish from Loras College in 2016. After graduating, Nick spent a year in San Antonio, Texas volunteering as the Director of Social Services and Coordinator of Youth Activities at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He then started working at SOAR Case Management in August of 2017 as a case manager for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and is currently employed there. He also currently attends the Masters in Social Work program part-time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His focus area is Mental Health. Nick had the opportunity to attend a two day DBT training in the fall of 2018.
Techniques: CBT, some DBT skills, solution-focused, client-centered. Nick has a social work background and addresses issues from a variety of perspectives.
