Treatment Specialties: Nora has a systems-based perspective and likes to focus on the interaction between person and environment. This means looking at the societal, community, and family influences as well as the individual responses to these influences. Nora enjoys working with people of all ages, as well as couples and families.
Training and Experience: Nora will graduate with a Master’s degree in Social Work in May 2019. She has previous work experience as a counselor and advocates for survivors of sexual violence. In this role she has helped people to understand and cope with reactions to trauma, navigate legal and medical systems, and heal in new relationships following interpersonal violence.
Techniques: Client Centered and Solution Focused Therapy and often integrates skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.
